SCG’s expert media relations team arranged another major television appearance for our client the Minneapolis Club. Last week, the Club’s renowned chefs Håkan Lundberg and Noel Teppo appeared on the Twin Cities’ number one morning show, WCCO Mid-Morning, to cook their famous Minneapolis Club Burger. Working with local broadcast is often the right choice to generate awareness and interest in consumer products and services. Media relations is just one of several visual tactics we use to help our clients reach their marketing goals, along with photography and video production.
Specializing in masterminding unique and extraordinary dining experiences, Chef Håkan Lundberg is a James Beard Award finalist and one of the most respected chefs in the Twin Cities, having previously worked at legendary restaurants Cosmos and Aquavit.
The Minneapolis Club Burger was created by Noel Teppo under the guidance of Chef Håkan as part of what was originally going to be a year-long “burger of the month” contest. However, the first burger created for the contest – an 8-ounce handcrafted patty created with Wagyu beef and nitrate-free bacon topped with onion marmalade and demi-glace mayo on a freshly baked onion bun – proved to be so popular with members that the contest never made it to a second month. Now, the Minneapolis Club Burger is one of the Club’s most favored dinner menu items and an example of how the Club’s kitchen provides members with innovative and unique takes on an American classic, along with its creative fine dining selections.
As you can see below, the WCCO Mid-Morning Crew – including local food reporter and host Jason DeRusha – couldn’t get enough of this delicious burger.
