The Collaborative Web Design Process That Created Our New Website

Welcome to the new SCGPR.com. We think it looks great, and we’re proud that it was developed completely in-house through a detailed planning and development process that drew on all our agency’s capabilities.

At Strother Communications Group (SCG), we have a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to marketing, communications, web design and public relations. We’ve believe that websites need to be thought of living systems, always evolving to best reflect a business’ needs. Although our last website redesign was only a couple years old, our team wanted something more – a site that was better tailored to mobile and put our agency’s work front and center.

To do this, the entire team collaborated on the design, copy and information architecture of a new site that reflects SCG at its best. We treated our agency as a client, and conducted the same brand-centric, integrated web design process that’s worked so well for our clients like RateLinx, the University of Minnesota College of Education and Human Development and IWCO Direct. A truly great website isn’t just about great technology – it’s about design, copy and messaging that resonate with an organization or company’s brand strengths and long-term goals.

During the process, we utilized new WordPress development techniques that allowed our art and graphic design and web development departments to work together more closely, creating a look that is clean and modern, while offering a colorful visual punch and dynamic, energetic design that stands out from the crowd. We hope you like it.
