Engage Employees with these Seven Content Ideas for Your Corporate Newsletter

These content ideas will give you a tactical footing to develop a can’t-wait-to-read newsletter with employee engagement and corporate culture as its focal point.

Seven Corporate Newsletter Content Ideas to Engage Employees

  1. A letter from the CEO, President or other executive—This section doesn’t need to be written by the same person in every newsletter edition, but it can be. This is an opportunity for leadership to inform employees on key business goals or accomplishments.
  2. An educational blurb—This can relate to the company or industry, but it doesn’t have to. Teach your readers something incredibly interesting or useful—information they will want to share with others.
  3. Employee profile—Tell an employee’s story, their background and what they do now. Include any interesting facts about them. No need to focus only on what they do at work, but you can include examples of when they have gone above and beyond for the company.
  4. Business, not as usual—Give updates on R&D, new products, new services, and announcements readers have not yet heard.
  5. Company values—Highlight one value per edition and include examples of employees exhibiting the value. (If you don’t have values defined yet, give us a call).
  6. Photos and videos—Include engaging photos whenever possible. If it’s an electronic newsletter, link to videos of new product development, employees or company outings.
  7. Something ridiculously fun—A book or movie review, trivia, a recipe, a comic, a sudoku or crossword puzzle—while not all employees have the same hobbies or interests, include something fun that will appeal to your whole company.
