Millerbernd Manufacturing has been a leader in metal fabrication since the 1930s. In fact, there’s a good chance that the light pole on your block was made by Millerbernd. While the company has a proud history, its leadership team wanted to update its online presence with a website that reflected its commitment to quality and innovation.
The Strother Communications Group team, led by our digital media director Brian Larson and account executive Tyler Patterson, began work on the new site back in January. It was a highly collaborative process between SCG and Millerbernd, starting the creation of an IA (information architecture) plan that could accommodate two different divisions: Poles and Ring & Cylinder. We also wanted the site to convey the company’s long history and deeply held values.
To accomplish that goal, Brian and our team created a fully custom site, built from the ground up on WordPress. The end result was a “two-in-one” responsive site solution that allows users to quickly tab between the Pole and Ring & Cylinder divisions, each with completely unique content. It’s an elegant, simple solution—just like the products that Millerbernd manufactures. We thank Millerbernd for entrusting us with creating its new website—and for their ideas and guidance.
