Whitney McIntosh
Senior Account Executive
Creative Juicer
Q: What is one creative trophy, ribbon or award you have won?
A: During my senior year I was awarded the “Slaying the Dragon” award by my cross country coach. While I wasn’t recognized for my creativity with that award, it’s a pretty unique award name and was even handmade by my coach.
Q: Name something creativity-related that people might not know about you.
A: I tapped into my inner Yo-Yo Ma for four years during elementary and middle school and played the cello. I also tried playing the double bass for a few orchestra lessons, but because I had to stand on a chair to reach all of the strings, my time as a bassist was short lived.
Knowledge Seeker
Q: Besides marketing and brand building, what are you passionate about?
A: Although I don’t get to travel as much as I would like, I’m passionate about traveling. Currently at the top of my list are Patagonia and Alaska, but I also enjoy finding nearby vacation destinations as a more affordable cure for my wanderlust.
Q: What book, movie or podcast have you seen or heard recently you would recommend and why?
A: I recently read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and couldn’t put it down. It’s a fascinating and true story about one woman’s cells and how they revolutionized modern medicine without her or her family’s knowledge.
Productive Partner
Q: If you had been the recent Powerball winner of $229 million, what is the first gift you'd give someone?
A: Goodbye mortgages, student loans and credit card payments! The first thing I’d do after cashing my check is give my family members and close friends the gift of debt-free living—and then take them all on a great vacation.
Q: Name something you’ve done that your co-workers probably haven’t?
A: Jump out of a plane. On a beautiful fall day last September, I jumped out of a plane cruising at 13,000 feet over rural Wisconsin. You can watch my jump (if you promise not to laugh at the faces I make) here.
