Q: Plan a road trip. Where would you go? Who would you take with you?
A: I have always wanted to rent an RV and travel across the United States stopping anywhere we wanted along the way. There is so much to see and do in the United States that we miss out on flying from one destination to another. I would take my husband, Dan, daughter, Olivia and of course my little dog, Lily. We could spend some really nice family bonding time while investigating all the nooks and crannies of the US.
Q: Of your creative accomplishments, what has given you the most satisfaction?
A: My memory books I have put together over the years. I love that I can look back at any given time of my life and revisit events just by opening a book. I know most people call them scrap books but I call them memory books because they hold all my memories not just scraps of my life.

Q: What is something new you want to learn in 2012?
A: I would love to learn how to tap dance. The local dance studio that my daughter takes classes at offers a tap class for women. My close friend started the class last year and just loved it. I have enjoyed watching my daughter tapping in her recitals and thought it looks like a lot of fun. This year the class has already started but who knows, maybe next year I will give it a try.
Q: Describe a recent problem that you solved in a unique way.
A: My daughter received a pair of footy pajamas for Christmas. She said she has always wanted a pair. Well within 10 minutes of having them on she complained that the elastic bands around the ankles are uncomfortable. Knowing that I could not take them back to the store (I got them with a coupon), I cut off the feet just below the elastic and then reattached them without the elastic…she put them back on and now they are her favorite PJ's
Productive Partner
Q: Who was your favorite mentor and why?
A: My mother is my mentor. I never realized just how much she gave up and how hard she worked to raise six children. Sometimes I am overwhelmed with just the one. I am in awe as to how she did it and stayed sane. I find myself looking back at memories of how mom handled a particular situation as it arises. She always seemed to have a way to solve any and every problem that came alone with raising such a large brood.
Q: Share a secret tip that you use often.
A: When I am getting over stressed or angry, I find I always feel calmer and more in control if I focus on something other than the situation, breathe in deep and slowly and relax my muscles. This has saved me so many times from losing my temper or acting out of anger before having time to think about my actions. After a few minutes I can reassess the situation and usually my reaction is so much more in control.
